Pasaba Valley was a remote area of Fairy chimney rock pillars in central Anatolia, Turkey. During early Christianity Cappadocia became famous for its monasteries, hidden safely in these remote valleys. The monks carved inside the soft tuff rocks of the Fairy Chimneys to create underground monasteries that were easily defended by closing off the small entrance tunnels.
