Castleton 8 Photo Prints – Winter Returns As It Has For Millions of Years
30,000 years ago Castleton was under several kilometres of ice, and 66 million years ago dinosaurs lived there. This should humble us and be cause to make us think about our sense of self importance. We are a blip on a blip on a blip in eternity. This makes ideas like building personal corporate empires and hoarding billions of dollars, whilst others starve and suffer, look like the futile criminal contemptuous activity it is.
Winter turns to spring then to summer and on to autumn and back to winter. This annual cycle will not end till the sun burns out. If mankind keeps worshiping in the capitalist system it created for the elites, and keep looking upon its billionaires as deities our civilisation, and maybe species, will become extinct. Fact. These are the issues embedded in my photos as, daily, I struggle to rationalise the bankrupt and corrupt system we laughingly call democracy.
