Sightings – Art Photos People Pictures – A Sicilian Passeggiata
Like the their brother Italians, the Sicilians enjoy a traditional Passegiatta after the heat of the day dies down. The inhabitants of Syracuse are no exception and of an evening they meet in the main square for a good natter with old friends whilst their children play with each other. The Passegiatta keep the community together and is a place where boy meets girl under the watchful eyes of their families. Many marriages are made during a Sicilian Passegiatta.
