English Surfaces Castleton 3 – Beautiful Village Photo Prints
In the early 1990’s I bought a house in Lastingham on the south of the North Yorks Moors moving to Castleton in the late 1990’s. What drew to away from the south of England was the sense of Englishness that Yorkshire had. I am not a nationalist considering myself European ahead of English, but I do value national traditions and the variety they give to the world.
Today this sense of Englishness no longer seems to exist anywhere in England. We have finally succumbed to everything that is bad in the culture the United Staes has forced on the world. The British are part of a global village but persist in living in denial. In the EU referendum people voted to get back control over their national identity. That was a dream as England died with the end of World War II thanks to the Imperial ambitions of the USA.
