The vast majority of the English who voted to leave the EU, rank Europe as their number 1 holiday destination. There will be more English who know and have visited the Spanish Coast than have visited the North Yorks Moors. Admittedly when these tourists arrive in Spain they will find their favourite British food and beverages waiting for them. Apart from the heat and sun they might have well have stayed at home.
This is one of the greatest British contradictions. Many British seem to need the reassurance of a Fortress Britain, yet they hardly ever travel their own Island. This can be seen in the summer months in Castleton. There are visitors but there are so many secret walks that you hardly meet anyone.
